VALENCIA
Under the Mediterranean sun, radiating warmth and glowing with the aura that had once inspired Sorolla to pick up the canvas, the lambent city of Valencia has imparted its own self into the behavior of its citizens - warm, inviting and up with the Moon.
Levante or País Valenciano is now the capital of the Land of Valencia. A rich and varied past to reminisce, Valencia was originally founded by the Romans. Considered a grid structure comprising of diverse cultures due to the racial dominations of the Romans, Visigoths, Moors and the Aragonese between 1094 and 1238, the Kingdom of Valencia came into existence in the very hands of James I of Aragon, after he finally conquered it back from the Moors. During the 15th and the 16th centuries, Valencia stood as a major economic power in the Mediterranean region, an era known as siglo de oro (Golden Age).

One can choose between Hotel Ad Hoc Monumental and Hotel Adhoc Parque Golf; the ones willing to be located centrally and near the beaches, however, may choose the Meliá Rey Don Jaime. Cheaper alternatives are the Apartment Sandra Villas, Apartment Apart Valencia and Apartment Plaza Picasso, if not a hostel like Hostal Moratin or the Indigo Youth Hostel for the young crowd. Oh, and don’t forget to visit the countryside to taste the famed dessert wines.
