FRANKFURT

A melting pot of financial activities, cultures and lifestyles, Frankfurt is one of the most dynamic metropolises of Germany. Situated by the river Main in the German state of Hesse, this city is considered as the commercial hub of whole Europe. It was once called Frankfort-on-the-Main in English, a direct translation of Frankfurt am Main that most Germans refer to. Frankfurt displays an ultra-modern way of life with a cluttered skyline and fast-paced lifestyle. It is teeming with financiers and investors all the time. To make your business or pleasure trip to this city memorable, plush hotels have come up in large numbers.
In tandem with present age importance, Frankfurt was a place to reckon with even in European history. It was the electoral city for the Emperors of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation, the revolutionary capital between 1848-49 and the seat of the first democratically elected German parliament.
Gradually, Frankfurt emerged as a global village with paramount commercial transactions that defines the parameter of world economy. Today it is Europe’s largest financial centre and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange is a protagonist of global share market. Frankfurt is home to the European Central Bank and shelters the headquarters of many international companies. The major commercial banks of this city include Deutsche Bank, Dresdner Bank, and Commerzbank. Efficient transportation system and the busy Frankfurt International Airport complement the dynamism of the city.

Frankfurt, apart from its commercial specialties, also ranks high in a traveller’s choice of list. The chic urban environment supported by reasonable yet comfortable modes of accommodation makes Frankfurt a hip destination. From an unassuming apartment block to a suite in a luxury hotel, everyone is sure to find something to suit his or her taste and wallet. Or else there are other favourable options available too, like the houses for rent provided by the welcoming citizens of Frankfurt.
Internationally acclaimed exhibition venues, colourful cultural events, superb shopping and night-time entertainment opportunities- Frankfurt has something for everybody. Saint Bartholomeus' Cathedral, Old Opera, Saint Paul's Church and Romer are worth visiting.
